Today I am excited to share our holiday travel plans plus this travel essential gift guide and GIVEAWAY with Lipault Paris. Next week after Christmas our family will be headed for a fun family road trip with our in-laws to New Mexico and Colorado for a week. We will actually be ringing in the New Year in Colorado! This is our first ever holiday vacation with Jayden and our first time in Colorado and New Mexico. We can’t wait to be going with Josh’s family too. When Josh was a kid he had fond memories of family road trip with his family so we are keeping the tradition alive with Jayden. Plus it will be such a beautiful trip with the mountains and snow. So whether you are taking a road trip, or flying somewhere special, or know someone who loves to travel here is my travel essentials gift guide that is perfect for Christmas!
For those who follow my Instagram and watch my Instagram then you might already know I am headed to New York Fashion Week this week! It has been a crazy whirlwind of a month, as I didn’t even plan on going. I think I would have felt super guilty for leaving my family if it wasn’t a work related trip with everything that’s been going on down here in Houston. Plus unless you have sponsors, it gets pretty pricey to go with clothes and travel expenses. Well long story short last month probably the end of July I started getting invites and offers from PR companies and brands I worked with for NYFW. I was fortunate to have my outfits sponsored for NYFW and to be able to work with an amazing hotel and restaurants for my NYFW City guide. I’m also excited to have an opportunity to work with some top beauty brands and share behind the scene looks for the runway shows. I will be sharing the full schedule details in the next post. But today I want to share what I am wearing to NYFW and 3 tips for staying organized while packing.
This week my son and I took a little beach trip to the sea wall to enjoy the beautiful weather and to take his 6 month pictures. I was so excited to wear my new Mojave dress I had received as a gift from Think Elysian Boutique. I was so excited to do this collaboration, because I absolutely loved the idea this boutique was founded on. Loren, the creator and mastermind behind Think Elysian, is a wanderer, an adventurer, a traveler, a bohemian spirit like myself. Her inspiration for her online boutique is to provide fashionable yet affordable clothing for the like minded girl. I love how all of her pieces are perfect for any future vacation you have in mind. I know I can see myself on a beautiful remote island with nothing but beautiful crystal clear waters in front of me wearing this dress.
This simple white dress is great for the beach goer who doesn’t want to sacrifice style for comfort. It has the prettiest back detail and color trim. Another thing I love about this dress is the material. It has a linen feel for cool comfort, but has a smooth inner lining so you don’t sweat through it. You can actually get this dress and any other items from Think Elysian for 15% with my discount code DAWN15. This dress went great with my favorite monogrammed gold sandals, and my fun white floppy hat. I accessorized this look with simple gold jewelry and my favorite Kendra Scott earrings which I got free from Rocksbox. For all my wonderful readers you can actually get your first set free on me just by clicking on the link below.
