Happy Monday everyone. It’s been a crazy couple of days with Hurricane Harvey coming through Houston. There has been major flooding near where I live and even tornadoes. We are fortunate that our neighborhood and our families are safe, but with the roads still flooded we are unable to reach them even though they are on fifteen minutes down the road from us. We are thankful we have enough food, supplies, and power, and I am still able to blog and give you an update, but we are still not in the clear with the storm. Hopefully in the next two days the water will recede and we will be able to reunite with our families and friends. As of now we are buckling down in our homes and enjoying the quality time as a family. I want to thank everyone for keeping us in our prayers.
With Labor Day is just around the corner so is fall, and I know living in down here in Houston it may still feel like summer for a couple of months. But that doesn’t mean you can’t incorporate fall pieces into your wardrobe. Below I am sharing tips on what to wear after Labor Day, and the things you can buy now, wear and now, and later, including this outfit above.
Happy Friday everyone! I am keeping it short and sweet since we are on our family vacation. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here, and you can get early access today. With hurricane season down here in full effect in Houston, my rain boots are definitely a staple in my wardrobe. I love my new hunter boots I just purchased, but it took me awhile to find the right fit for my petite frame. One thing about being so short (5’2”) and petite is sometimes you have the option to buy adult or buy kids boots. I decided before settling on a pair, to order three different kinds of hunter boots to see which one fit me best. I ordered the original tall, the hunter boots, and the kids size. Check out my video and pictures in this post to see which one worked best for me!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend with your family! Unfortunately I was sick for most of it, but I did get to catch with some dear friends, and a whole lot of Netflix shows while I was bed ridden lol. Today I am sharing tips to transitioning your jacket into summer. With summer fast approaching you may not be ready to part ways with your favorite jacket yet, I know I’m not! Plus I get so cold easily so I always have a jacket in handy, just in case. Check out this look below and tips to transitioning your jacket into summer.

This weekend has come and gone, and though I was sick for most of it I was able to enjoy Sunday out with my family. I was expecting cooler weather so I could bundle up in my cute sweaters and scarves, unfortunately it did not come, so I layered in this outfit instead and enjoyed my Sunday out with my family. I’ve rounded up my top pick for fall fashion essentials for under $100. Who says Mondays have to be boring? Shop till you drop online and save with these huge sales. Check out my picks below!
Happy Tuesday! Yesterday was tough trying to recooperate from a busy weekend! I celebrated my twenty eighth birthday this weekend, and I couldn’t be more thankful for all the love and support from my friends and family. Stay tuned and subscribe to my YouTube channel, I’ll be doing another video insider on Magnolia Market. My hubby and I took Jayden there last weekend, and we had such a blast. This past week I attended a graduation party for my dear friend Joanne, who I recently did graduation pictures for her. (check out the post here.) I wanted to dress up yet still be comfy because it was a BBQ party. I opted for these destructed black jeans from my favorite denim brand Kancan. They are so comfy and easy to dress up or dress down. My top and necklaces were birthday presents from Nordstrom. The top is on sale for $15.90 and the beaded statement necklace is less than $30. I absolutely love my necklace. It really makes such a basic outfit pop! My shoes are from Justfab, an online personal shopping site where you can find great deals on shoes, clothing and accessories. They currently have a huge sale for Memorial Weekend. Everything is 50% off! For the rest of the outfit detail click on the link below.
