Hope you had a great weekend! This weekend we celebrated one of my dear friends birthday with my girlfriends, and we finally finished some of our recent renovations in our home. Now I’m ready to decorate for fall! Speaking of fall today I’m sharing one of my favorite trends this season, the leopard skirt. I feel leopard is a closet staple that never goes out of style. So if you are looking to walk on the wild side this summer check out how I styled this leopard skirt. Plus I’m sharing some affordable fashion finds to recreate this outfit. Whether you like designer or affordable fashion, this SAVE vs SPLURGE is all about how to style a leopard skirt.
Eek I am so excited for Thanksgiving this week! Today I am sharing on the blog a round-up of all my favorite things I am loving this month, whether it comes to music, beauty, fashion trends, movies or shows I am watching, or just random things I thought I would share with you. Plus I am teaming up with one of my favorite Beauty Blogger for a giveaway! Check out my November favorites plus this outfit and these Burgundy accessories I am loving for fall!
These past couple days have been full of trick or treat fun, but I am glad it is over with because this mom is exhausted. I came down with a little cold yesterday and currently recovering now. I love November. It is probably my favorite month of them all. I love this time of year down here in Texas. The weather is the best, Thanksgiving falls on this month which happens to be my favorite holiday of the year. I love the idea of getting together as a family and just being thankful, and of course stuffing my face with all this good food is a big plus too! But November has to be my favorite because four years ago at this time something very special happened, and it was God’s way of showing me that everything happens for a reason and that true love happens when you least expect it. So stay tuned because today I am sharing why November gives me all the feels and this beautiful lace bell sleeve top below!
Can you believe it we are already half way through the month! I am so excited for all the fun Fall activities we are having this month. But I am even more excited to be sharing it with my little man. I love this stage we are in. I told my husband for the first time in I finally feel like I have this motherhood thing down and it feels so good. I am not one of those people where motherhood came easily. I was never fond of the newborn stage, but this stage has to be my favorite. It is a new adventure with my little man. I love watching him learn, and talk, and show me things from his perspective. I love his energy, his joyful spirit, and his sweet love for his momma. It honestly makes my day when he gives me all those sweet kisses and hugs, and tells me “Momma thank you so much,” for the little things like getting him a cookie or taking him to the pumpkin patch. He melts my heart every day, and I am so thankful to be his momma. There truly is something special about being a boy mom, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Today I am sharing our fall checklist and the things we look forward to doing this month.
Today I am sharing the last day of my New York Fashion Week recap. I can’t believe it’s almost been a month since I was there. It still all seems so surreal to me, but I just finished my video recap (you can watch here) and it was in fact very much REAL, and one of the best experiences of my life. Today I’m going to share my last day at NYFW and the perfect fall outfit I took at the Flatiron and running around the city.
Alright first of all, let me tell you how nervous I am right now and maybe even a little overwhelmed. Tomorrow we are headed out to New York Fashion Week, and we are going to hit the ground running. I can’t believe in one month I was able to get as much done as I have with everything that goes into NYFW. Let me tell you it is not the faint of heart. I definitely think I had an advantage with having worked with several brands and PR companies in NYC. To tell you the truth I didn’t think I would be invited to NYFW. I mean me, a small little Texas mom blogger? Who would have thought? I still can’t believe I am making one of my biggest dreams come true, and I am getting to work with some amazing brands to give you the full NYFW experience. So without further ado, as I said in my previous NYFW post here is my NYFW schedule:
For those who follow my Instagram and watch my Instagram then you might already know I am headed to New York Fashion Week this week! It has been a crazy whirlwind of a month, as I didn’t even plan on going. I think I would have felt super guilty for leaving my family if it wasn’t a work related trip with everything that’s been going on down here in Houston. Plus unless you have sponsors, it gets pretty pricey to go with clothes and travel expenses. Well long story short last month probably the end of July I started getting invites and offers from PR companies and brands I worked with for NYFW. I was fortunate to have my outfits sponsored for NYFW and to be able to work with an amazing hotel and restaurants for my NYFW City guide. I’m also excited to have an opportunity to work with some top beauty brands and share behind the scene looks for the runway shows. I will be sharing the full schedule details in the next post. But today I want to share what I am wearing to NYFW and 3 tips for staying organized while packing.
I am sure everyone excited for this longer weekend. I know I am! We are finally getting back into the swing of things. We are still rebuilding our community, but it feels good to see the sun out and people getting around town. We have some fun events with friends this weekend and I can’t wait to see everyone! And you can’t forget with Labor Day comes amazing Labor Day sales! I am sharing my favorite stores and all their Labor Day sales they have going this weekend plus rounding up my must have statement booties for fall. I’m also listing my favorite Texas shops that are donating their proceeds to the victims of Hurricane Harvey! Check out this my picks and this look below!
Happy Monday everyone. It’s been a crazy couple of days with Hurricane Harvey coming through Houston. There has been major flooding near where I live and even tornadoes. We are fortunate that our neighborhood and our families are safe, but with the roads still flooded we are unable to reach them even though they are on fifteen minutes down the road from us. We are thankful we have enough food, supplies, and power, and I am still able to blog and give you an update, but we are still not in the clear with the storm. Hopefully in the next two days the water will recede and we will be able to reunite with our families and friends. As of now we are buckling down in our homes and enjoying the quality time as a family. I want to thank everyone for keeping us in our prayers.
With Labor Day is just around the corner so is fall, and I know living in down here in Houston it may still feel like summer for a couple of months. But that doesn’t mean you can’t incorporate fall pieces into your wardrobe. Below I am sharing tips on what to wear after Labor Day, and the things you can buy now, wear and now, and later, including this outfit above.
