Happy Wednesday everyone! Last week I attended the Austin City Tour for Liketoknow.it and I wore this fun and flirty romper for under $50 at the event. It was such a fun and cute event at the beautiful venue Matties in Austin. If you’ve never been, it’s absolutely beautiful, and they have peacocks roaming freely on the grounds. But the best part about the event was meeting all the wonderful influencers of Liketoknow.it. It was such a great opportunity to finally meet these women who we’ve supported each other and followed through our blogs and social media. I think one of the most important things you can do as a business owner is grow your network and meet new people who could potentially be business partners, supporters, or even clients. Today I am sharing tips on networking at events and more details of what I wore at the Liketoknow.it city tour in Austin below!
Last Friday I had planned to post my Friday Favorites with this outfit, but after waking up and finding out another school shooting happened not even 15 miles from where I live, I became an emotional wreck. All the fears, anxiety, and guilt as a mom overwhelmed me. All I could think about was the mothers who lost their children that day, who would never be able to see their children graduate, and all I could think was this the future for my child. So many questions, scenarios came up in my head, and for a time I just felt helpless, guilty, unworthy as a mom to protect my own child. It’s hard as a mom these days to watch the news, to hear all the tragedies with school shootings, senseless shootings, lives of innocent children lost, and not have immense guilt and feeling of not doing enough in a time of tragedy. There’s so much we need to do, so much we need to change, and yet it can be so overwhelming knowing we cannot do it all. Today I’m sharing how I’ve been dealing with the anxiety and the guilt as a mom, and what has helped me cope during these hard times.
Happy Wednesday everyone! Today I am off to Austin for a fun event with Rewardstyle with a couple of my blogger friends, and I am so excited! I’ll be sharing more on Instastories so stay tuned! Today in light of the Royal Wedding this weekend I wanted to share this beautiful outfit for the future Princess bride to wear for her bridal shower, engagement party, or rehearsal dinner. I wore this gorgeous dress for only $60 on a TV segment with Good Day Houston with the prettiest Derby hat for Derby Day. You can view the segment here. I also wanted to share my thoughts on the future Royal wedding, and the lifetime movie based on their secret romance that had me in tears last night. Boy moms beware, it’s tear jerker. Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day weekend! It was a busy one for this momma! We had brunch, then watched the Rangers and Astros play (see which family member is part of the Rangers here), and then headed to my parents house after to celebrate Mother’s Day with my parents. I didn’t get home till almost midnight yesterday, so you can see why this post comes a little late than usual. Today on the blog I’m sharing one of my dream collaborations with Blue and Cream and one of my favorite designers Pierre Balmain! I’m sharing three reasons why you should invest in designer Jeans, and why I can’t get enough of these Pierre Balmain Moto Jeans.
Happy Friday, everyone! This post might come a little later than usual. Yesterday we had a busy day with our mommy friends and went to the cutest brunch place made specially for moms with kids. There’s a park and so much room for activities, plus the food is really good too. Click here to see where we went. Today is a special post as we head into Mother’s Day weekend. I love sharing what motherhood means to me every year because it’s always fun to look back and read my thoughts back then and how they have evolved through the years. You can see my first, second, and third Mother’s Day post here. Today I wanted to share my thoughts about what it means to be strong as a mother and the one force that drives this unfathomable strength is a mother’s love. I once questioned Jesus love for us and the sacrifices he made years ago, but it wasn’t until I became a mother that I realized what that love is. I’ve never loved a man more than myself, but the day my son came into this world, there isn’t a day I wouldn’t give up my life for him. He is everything to me, my pride and joy, my greatest blessing, he is why I am the strong as a mother.
Hey everyone! Hope you are having a great week! Yesterday I had a fun mom’s night out watching an early screening of Life of the Party, and let me tell you it was non stop laughing in the theater. But it doesn’t surprise me at all considering Melissa McCarthy and Maya Rudolph are both in it. Those two are a hoot! It is definitely a must watch. Today I am sharing a requested post and sharing my experience about having interns. If you followed me on my journey, last year, I opened up my business and took in three interns for six months. This year I currently do not have any interns, and I am sharing why. Today I am sharing the truth about having interns and tips on how to find the right one for your business. Read more of my experience below.
Happy Monday everyone! Hope everyone had a great Cinco De Mayo weekend! Next weekend is Mother’s Day weekend so I wanted to share the perfect brunch date outfit with the prettiest lace top and floral skirt, but also share a little on what’s been heavy on my heart lately. As we approach Mother’s Day I wanted to talk about an issue so many mother’s face with social media and hopefully how we can all do better to support each other, because moms don’t bring other moms down they support one another. Read more of my thoughts below.
Happy Friday everyone! Who is excited for the weekend? I know I AM! MY husband is off this week, which makes this momma very happy. We have some fun plans this week so that makes me even more excited. Today I wanted to share this casual Friday look with my must have summer jackets. I know what your thinking, a jacket for summer, but trust me a light jacket is always a good idea for those cold days in the office, or even cooler summer nights out. Check out 4 Summer Jackets You Need In Your Closet including my favorite canvas moto jacket from Paige Denim.
