Last month my hubby and I took Jayden for a fun little weekend trip to Dallas to visit family. You can see that post here. Before we went to Dallas we made a pit stop to Magnolia Market in Waco. I am a big fan of Fixer Upper and I couldn’t wait to find me something to decorate my office. Last time we went the store was closed so we were only able to see the outside. They are closed Sunday’s so this time we went on Friday. It was a beautiful day when we went and the perfect opportunity for me to take a video tour of an inside look of Magnolia Market. Check out my video tour below.
This past weekend my hubby and I had the opportunity to stay at the Hilton in Arlington. Josh is a huge Texas Rangers baseball fan and comes from a big baseball family. His Uncle is the manager of the Texas Rangers, so we try to make it up to Dallas once a year to visit family and watch the games. It was a fun weekend full of baseball and family, and we couldn’t have wanted anything more from our first road trip with Jayden. We were very thankful for our complimentary stay at the Hilton, and wanted to share our first family stay with you. The Hilton was very convenient for us because it was only minutes away from the ball park. It is also close to Six Flags, and the Dallas Cowboys stadium. You can literally see it from the view outside our window. Below are more pictures of our stay at the Hilton, and a fun video recap of our weekend trip!
This weekend my hubby and I had the privileged to stay the night at the new Westin in the Woodlands. We were so excited to have a little weekend getaway from home and have some much-needed adult time to ourselves. I loved the area, because we were still only an hour away from home and from our little guy. Plus the hotel is brand new and next to all the latest restaurants, bars, and shopping, we could walk anywhere.
For our anniversary weekend my husband and I stayed at the historic beachfront hotel Hotel Galvez & Spa. Over 100 years old, it is still one of the most popular and beautiful hotels in Galveston. I love the old 1900 style and charm in its furniture and decor. When you walk in you feel like you’ve time traveled into an old classic movie. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. Our favorite thing about the hotel was the pool and the swim up bar. I love how it has a secluded section just for the adults. I would highly recommend it for vacationing couples. It also has complementary bikes for getting around the Seawall in Galveston, and a ride away from the famous restaurant and tiki bar The Spot. Definitely check it out next time you are in the area! It’s great for a weekend get away!
