Hi friends hope you are doing well! Today I am finally sharing our complete backyard garden makeover. This summer during our Corona quarantine we decided since we would be spending our time at home to give our backyard a makeover. We replaced our old fence, tore down a rotting existing deck, added our own dining patio area, and also added a backyard garden. Check out our backyard garden transformation below!
Hope you are having a great week! Today I am sharing my six low maintenance house plants I have in my home and how I take care of them. I’ve had tons of questions about my plants, and to be fair it’s been a lot of trial and error. My first year as a plant mom I did not have that green of a thumb, but as I’ve progressed I’ve gotten better and keeping my plants alive. I’ve also found that in most cases with house plants less is more. Sometimes we can kill a plant by overwatering, giving it too much sun, or food. Luckily I’ve found some amazing house plants that only require weekly maintenance so you don’t have to worry about watering it everyday. Check them out below!
Hope you are doing well and enjoying your Memorial Day! This past weekend we has a little graduation party/Memorial Day get together with family. Since Jayden didn’t have a proper graduation we decided to just have a little one at our home with our family. We love hosting our family at our home. We had a Mother’s Day brunch a couple weeks back (view post here) and we were excited to have another backyard shindig with our family for Memorial Day weekend. This time around I went with a more patriotic themed tablescape to go with the weekend but also perfect for 4th of July and any summer celebration. Check out our Patriotic themed tablescape below!
Hope you had a great Mother’s Day weekend! This weekend we were so thankful to have a beautiful day to celebrate with our family. We decided to host a Mother’s Day brunch in our home because plenty of places were still not open. We recently did our back patio so it was perfect for hosting an outdoor brunch with our family. Josh cooked the sandwich fillings and pasta. I made a fruit and cheese tray and ordered the cookies and put everything together. Below is more details of our Mother’s Day brunch.
Hope you are doing well! Today I am finally sharing our complete dining room reveal plus our spring tablescape. In my previous post we did a china hutch makeover for my great grandmother’s china hutch and it was the perfect addition to our dining room. We loved being able to display our fine china and my antique tea set collection. Today on the blog I am sharing how we decorated our dining room for spring and our spring table setting. Great for Easter too! Check it out below!
Hope you are doing well! Today I am sharing a fun home project we did during quarantine, our china hutch makeover DIY. My dad pasted down to me his grandma’s old china hutch for my dining room. I’ve always loved the quality of antiques and older furniture especially when they have family history. This beautiful hutch has been in the family for over three generations and was still in great condition. I had been on a hunt for a year now for a china hutch that also doubled as a buffet/server for my dining room. When my dad showed me this beautiful piece that had been stowed in the garage for years now, I knew this was the one. It was a little outdated and didn’t fit my overall interior decor, so I decided to give it a little makeover. Check out our china hutch makeover DIY below!
Hope you are doing well! Today I’m sharing a fun Ugly Sweater Baby Sprinkle we threw for our friend last week. We are so thankful to have Mendocino Farms cater all the delicious food, plus they had vegan options for those who had dietary restrictions. It really made throwing this party so much easier with Mendocino Farms catering. Check out more of this fun baby sprinkle below!

Hope you are having a great week! Today I’m finally sharing my Rustic Glam Christmas table decor. Our formal dining room is still a work in progress but we recently got our new table and chairs. We hosted our first Thanksgiving this past month and we loved having a bigger space to fit more of our family and friends. You can see our previous Thanksgiving table decor in our breakfast room here. For this tablescape I wanted to incorporate the rustic country with the glam style vibe I have in my home. I love how elegant and classy it turned out yet also inviting and homey. Check out more of my holiday table decor below!
