Hope ya’ll are having a great week! Can you believe it Thanksgiving 2018 is this Thursday? I can’t believe how fast this year has flown by. It seemed only yesterday I was writing this post last Thanksgiving. This year I wanted to share what I am thankful for as there is so much to be thankful for this year. I love sharing these things with you as a way to reflect over the year and to give credit to those who have made this year so wonderful. So without further ado this year I am thankful for…
This post is in partnership with Bridgeland.Hi everyone!
Last week, my family and I attended the 10th annual Howl-O-Ween Fest at the Bridgeland master planned community in Cypress, Texas. It was our first time going, and Jayden had so much fun especially since we got to bring Rotel, his best furry friend. It’s one of the biggest pet-friendly Houston events for Halloween for the whole family with tons of games, food trucks, and even a costume contest. Jayden and Rotel went as Batman and Superman! While we were there, we even got to tour some of the model homes in the community. Our family is looking to build a new home next year and hopefully expand our family. We absolutely fell in love with the homes in Bridgeland. In fact, I think we might have even found our dream home! If you are looking at new homes in Houston for your family, here are seven reasons the Bridgeland community is the perfect pet-friendly master planned community for your family.
The elections are just around the corner and emotions and the tension is at an all time high. Especially if you are in Texas. Let’s just say there are a lot of families divided in this election including my own. And though there will be a loser and winner next week, the outcome of the election shouldn’t cause a rift in our relationships with our friends and family. So today I thought I’d share what my experience in having a bipartisan family in Texas and tips to surviving the election.
The Justice League is here and ready for Halloween! With Halloween just around the corner, we love going out and doing fun family events. Even more so when we can bring our furry friends, too! Today on the blog, I’ve partnered up with Bridgeland, a master planned community in Cypress, Texas, to share more about their 10th Annual Howl-O-Ween Fest. The 10th Annual Howl-O-Ween Fest is a fun event for the whole family that partners up with local rescue groups to raise money and to find homes for pets in need. If you know me and my story of all of our adopted furry friends, then you know how special this event is to me. Check out more details of this event below!
August is coming to an end and today I share this month’s August favorites. Also, today Jayden starts his first day of preschool. I should have been there with his dad to drop him off, but instead I am dropping of my mom at the airport so she can take a trip home to attend my Aunt’s funeral in the Philippines. If you’ve been following my blog then you know this is the second death in the past two weeks I have been dealing with. You can read a little about the first one here.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Ibotta. The opinions and text are all mine.
Back to school is less than two weeks away for my little man, and he officially starts preschool! I can’t believe how fast this summer has flown by! I know I am going to miss not having my little guy at home with me all the time, so I am making the most of the time we have left together before summer ends. Today I am sharing 5 Fun End Of Summer Activities To Do At Home to make the most of our family time we have together. Plus I am sharing a great way I’ve been able to save this summer with Ibotta and how you can too! Read more below!
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! Today I wanted to talk about getting out of our comfort zone and five reasons why you should try something new. A couple of weeks ago I took my son to park which happened to have a little skate park too. He found an abandoned skateboard and started to learn how to use it. I remember just sitting there watching him and being so proud of him for not being afraid to try something new. He wasn’t afraid of falling or letting any of his fears get in his way of learning something new. I honestly believe sometimes it takes looking life through a child’s eyes, to make you face your fear of the unknown and of failure. Here are five reasons you should try something new.
Today me and my husband celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary so it’s only fitting to finally share our Tulum travel guide and our kid free trip we took last month. We had such an amazing time, and highly recommend for couples who are looking for a kid free vacation. Tulum is super hip, eco-friendly, and a paradise for couples to relax and unwind. Best part is it isn’t crowded with tourist. It is a hidden paradise of Mexico. Check out our Tulum travel guide and recommendations below!
Happy Monday everyone! Hope ya’ll had a great weekend! Today I just wanted to recap my Kendra Scott event I had three weeks ago to help raise money for Santa Fe school shooting victims. I have so many people to thank, including everyone who came out, to all the amazing bloggers who partnered up for this event, and to all the brands who donated their time and service to make this a fun event for everyone. I also wanted to share a little Monday motivational thought on how a little act of service can make a difference in this world. And though we may not see the eventual outcome, I consider our actions like a drop in an ocean that creates a continuing and ever-growing ripple. We are that drop in the ocean that is part of a huge wave that will make a difference in this world. Read more of my recap and thoughts below.
