Last month I had my very first facial massage at Massage Envy thanks to my wonderful husband. I enjoyed it very much, but it was an eye opener that I needed to take better care of my skin. Since I was in high school I’ve had the same skincare regiment. I’m pretty low maintenance, I wash my face in the morning and before bed and moisturize after washing, and yes with the same products I’ve been using since high school. But thankfully I have realized as I’ve gotten older my skin has changed too, and though I am pretty fortunate to have been blessed with pretty good skin, my worries are no longer about acne and pimples, but about fine lines and wrinkles. Here are some anti-aging tips for younger looking skin:

1. Eat fresh
Fruits and vegetables have the best antioxidants and are rich in vitamins to help your skin stay looking younger. Greasy processed foods will cause breakouts and damage your skin.
2. Sweat it out
Staying active helps your body and mind, whether your working out, or getting frisky, a little sweat does the body good. Sweat helps get rid of harmful toxins in your body.
3. Say CHEESE!
I’m sure you’ve heard people say, “the more you smile, the younger you look.” Well it’s true. Smiling often, and staying positive helps lower stress levels and the amount of cortisol your body secretes.
4. Sleep In
Here’s an excuse to sleep in. Sleep helps your body repair itself, and it also helps prevent those baggy dark circles under your eyes that the lack of sleep will cause. Unfortunately as a new mom I don’t always get the best sleep. Thankfully I have Clinique Smart Custom Repair Eye Treatment to help with the dark circles and dullness under my eyes.
5. Stop Smoking
This is probably the worse thing you can do to your skin and your whole body. Just say NO.
6. Protect yourself from the Sun
Yes this is very cliche, and I’m sure you hear it a million times, but unfortunately too many of us, including myself only use sunscreen when we are on vacation. But everyday we are exposed to the sun, in our cars, on our way to work, walking the dog, and those minutes eventually lead to years of unprotected skin. A daily moisturizer with at least a SPF 15 will help protect your skin from harmful rays. I currently use Clinique Smart Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Custom-Repair Moisturizer. I love it because it is light weight and does not make my skin feel oily or greasy.
7. Have a Daily Skin Care Routine Tailored to Your Skin
