5 Tips to Wearing a Crop Top When Your a Mom

As a mom, and trying to be stay in with the trends, crop tops can be intimidating if you don’t know how to wear it. Back then I would have worn a crop top with the lowest rise jeans I could find, but now that I’m a mom I’ve grown a little more conservative in my fashion style. However with these 5 helpful tips, I’ve learned how to rock cute off the shoulder crop tops like this one I got a Forever21 for under $20! Here’s a cute way I styled this top, and my top 5 tips to wearing a crop top when you’re a mom.

1.Think the 30/70 rule

If you are going to wear a more revealing top then stick with more coverage for your bottom, jeans, midi skirts, and shorts that cover your butt cheeks lol.;) 30% revealing and 70% covered. Check out this hot outfit with a leather pencil skirt here.

2. High waisted bottoms

Not ready to show off that beautiful postpartum belly of yours? Pair up that crop top with some high-waisted bottoms like I did. I love these casual chambray bottoms because they are so comfy and give off a beach summer vibe.

3. Dress it up

Don’t be afraid to dress up that crop top with cute heels or wedges. It makes the perfect date night or girls night out look. Here’s a cute look I did for a baby shower.

4. Accessorize

Accessories make the outfit, throw on a cute necklace with your crop top.

5. Wear with Confidence

The best way to rock any outfit, is to wear it with confidence. If you aren’t comfortable then don’t wear it, but don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone either. Mom or not, anyone can wear a crop top and rock it!
