9 Eyeshadow Looks With Morphe 35V

    FEATURED ON THIS POST:

    Hi friends,

Hope ya’ll are having a great week! Last month during quarantine I decided to join the #eyeshadow challenge where I shared eyeshadow looks picked randomly using the Morphe 35V palette. I have had this palette for over a year and only used a handful of colors. So I though this would be a good way to finally challenge myself and use all the colors in this Morphe 35V palette. In this challenge I numbered these eyeshadow colors and put the numbers randomly in a bowl and picked between 3 to 4 colors until I used every color. I honestly was surprised how the combinations turned out. Check them out below!

    Athleisure Outfit Ideas For Summer

    FEATURED ON THIS POST:

    Hi friends,

Hope you are doing well! Today I am sharing my favorite athleisure outfits I’ve been wearing during quarantine. These outfits are perfect for summer with their fun, bright, and vibrant colors. When people ask me what is athleisure, I always explain it as outfits that look like you are working out but comfy enough to just lounge around in. I wouldn’t run five miles in these outfits but I could definitely do a fun quick 30 minute workout and yet still look cute to go through a drive thru or run errands. It’s dressing up for staying home home because some days you just want to get out of your pj’s. Not that it’s a bad thing to be in your pj’s all day, because trust me I’ve had those days during quarantine! But if you are looking for another alternative check out my athleisure outfit ideas for summer below!

    CHINA HUTCH Makeover DIY

modern farm house, farm house furniture, CHINA HUTCH, FURNITURE DIY, FURNITURE MAKEOVER, PAINT FURNITURE,

    Hi friends,

Hope you are doing well! Today I am sharing a fun home project we did during quarantine, our china hutch makeover DIY. My dad pasted down to me his grandma’s old china hutch for my dining room. I’ve always loved the quality of antiques and older furniture especially when they have family history. This beautiful hutch has been in the family for over three generations and was still in great condition. I had been on a hunt for a year now for a china hutch that also doubled as a buffet/server for my dining room. When my dad showed me this beautiful piece that had been stowed in the garage for years now, I knew this was the one. It was a little outdated and didn’t fit my overall interior decor, so I decided to give it a little makeover. Check out our china hutch makeover DIY below!

    Jayden’s 5 Year Portraits

    Hi friends!

I can’t believe the day is here, my little man turns five! It’s crazy to think how time flies, even more so when you watch your children grow. This year makes me a little sad though, because this is the year my son goes into kindergarten. It’s a good thing don’t get me wrong, but for some reason I feel like I am losing my little baby. Day by day my little man starts growing into a young man and I don’t know if my heart can take it. I just want these moments to last forever. I remember I use to worry about my son sleeping in our bed, and now I cherish everyday he chooses to sleep with us, because it’s at night when he’s asleep where he still looks like my little baby. I cherish every hug, every kiss, and every time he still needs his mama, because I know as he gets older there will be a day where I am longer his center of his world. I don’t know if I’ll ever be ready for that day, but today I’m just thankful. Thankful for another wonderful year to watch my son grow older. So today I am sharing these beautiful portraits we took with our son and our dog for his 5th birthday. Thank you so much Alexis from Candid Kids Photography for capturing my son so beautifully. I will cherish these photos forever.  Continue reading

5 Things To Help Cope with A Miscarriage – Our Miscarriage Story

    Hey friends,

Hope y’all are having a great week! Today I am getting personal with ya’ll and sharing an update on our pregnancy. A month ago we announced early knowing there was a possibility it wasn’t a viable pregnancy. After weeks of many doctor visits, waiting it out, and trying all options we ended up having to get a D&C last week to end the pregnancy. I ended up having a last minute surgery the day before me and my mom’s trip to New York with Bio Oil. It was a whirlwind, and honestly I feel like I haven’t had a chance to finally stop and really process everything until these past couple of days since my husband has been home. Today am finally sharing our miscarriage story plus five things that have helped me cope with my first miscarriage. October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month, and hopefully sharing my story can help someone out there who is going through the same thing or has gone through the same thing feel like they are not alone, and also help them in the process.

But I am glad to be back home and to finally share with you our stair remodel and how I decorated our foyer for fall. Since we moved in to our new home we knew we wanted to get rid of the carpet on our stairs. I’m not a fan of carpet because of the dirt that it holds but also because it isn’t aesthetically pleasing. Once we replaced the carpet with wood stairs it really opened up our entryway and made cleaning our stairs so much easier. Check out our before and after pictures below for our entryway reveal and our fall foyer decor!

5 Things My Mom Was Always Right About

    FEATURED ON THIS POST:

When I look back at my teenage years, I can honestly say I was a little prick growing up. I know it wasn’t easy raising a stubborn daughter like me who never listened, and thought I was smarter than my parents. I always thought my parents were to strict and too old fashioned, and growing up I vowed, I never would be like my mom. But then your mom’s famous last words of “one day you will know what it’s like to be a mom and one day you will know I am right” came true. I became a mom, and just like that I realized I knew nothing, just like John Snow in Games of Thrones. I realized all those years of me arguing and second guessing my mom, she was right all along. So this Mother’s Day I am dedicating this post to my mom. A tribute to all the things my mom was right about that I finally realized now that I am a mom.
