Happy Wednesday! I am sharing some big news, and if you follow along on Instagram, then you probably have a hint. We are going to Paris Fashion week! Today my husband and I fly out to Paris with a little quick stop in London. I got invited as a Revolve Ambassador for Paris Fashion Week and will be attending their events! I worked with them this past New York Fashion week, so I was extremely thrilled when they wanted to work with me for Paris Fashion Week. First of all I’ve never been to Paris Fashion Week, so attending the fashion capital of the world is a dream come true. Happy Friday everyone,
So for all of those wondering how I customized my leather jacket I wore for New York Fashion week, I am sharing a simple DIY for you. I did this in two days, and it wasn’t that hard as long as you have a design in your mind that you want to do. Figuring out my design was the hardest part. I couldn’t decide if I was going to paint my jacket or stud it. Well I when I went to Joann to find the material, my design went out the window when I saw this beautiful sequins pattern. From there it just came to me, and the constructing it itself wasn’t difficult. I was inspired to do a Frida Kahlo Day of the Dead design on the back because she was one of the most influential female artist, and to this day even after her death continues to inspire many young artist like myself. I knew I wanted to have an original piece to wear when I went to NYFW, and this was an easy customize leather jacket DIY that helped me stand out in the crowd. You can see the full outfit here! So in continuation of my Day One NYFW recap, today I will be recapping day two. I wore three outfits for day two but will only be breaking it down into two different post. So much happened that I want to make sure I cover it all without getting too long and overdrawn in the first post. Today’s recap will also include this outfit and our Brooklyn Bridge photo shoot. Hey everyone,
Sorry I have been MIA this past week on the blog, but I finally got back from New York Fashion Week. I completely underestimated how much time I would have on my trip to work on my blog. I was up at 6am doing photoshoots at 7am and wouldn’t get back from some events till midnight. Haha I don’t know what I was thinking in regards to time. But I definitely had the best first time experience ever, and I can’t wait to break it day by day everything that happened. I am still processing everything at this moment and will be posting the recap next week. Until then here is my NYFW September 2017 Instagram Roundup of all the outfits I wore.
Alright first of all, let me tell you how nervous I am right now and maybe even a little overwhelmed. Tomorrow we are headed out to New York Fashion Week, and we are going to hit the ground running. I can’t believe in one month I was able to get as much done as I have with everything that goes into NYFW. Let me tell you it is not the faint of heart. I definitely think I had an advantage with having worked with several brands and PR companies in NYC. To tell you the truth I didn’t think I would be invited to NYFW. I mean me, a small little Texas mom blogger? Who would have thought? I still can’t believe I am making one of my biggest dreams come true, and I am getting to work with some amazing brands to give you the full NYFW experience. So without further ado, as I said in my previous NYFW post here is my NYFW schedule:

For those who follow my Instagram and watch my Instagram then you might already know I am headed to New York Fashion Week this week! It has been a crazy whirlwind of a month, as I didn’t even plan on going. I think I would have felt super guilty for leaving my family if it wasn’t a work related trip with everything that’s been going on down here in Houston. Plus unless you have sponsors, it gets pretty pricey to go with clothes and travel expenses. Well long story short last month probably the end of July I started getting invites and offers from PR companies and brands I worked with for NYFW. I was fortunate to have my outfits sponsored for NYFW and to be able to work with an amazing hotel and restaurants for my NYFW City guide. I’m also excited to have an opportunity to work with some top beauty brands and share behind the scene looks for the runway shows. I will be sharing the full schedule details in the next post. But today I want to share what I am wearing to NYFW and 3 tips for staying organized while packing.
