How to Style Ripped Jeans this Summer

ripped jeans, light wash jeans, destructed denim, distressed jeans, distressed denim, tassel mules, flats

    Happy Monday everyone!

Today I am sharing one of my favorite looks for summer and tips on how you can rock it too. Let’s face it I love distressed jeans. I am sure every pair of jeans in my closet has some holes and tears in it. When I found these ripped jeans I automatically fell in love. They were the perfect light wash and just enough rips and destruction. It is easy to  wear distressed jeans for a casual look with your favorite t-shirt and sneakers, but you can also dress it up for this casual Friday work look like I did here. Check out my tips and the full look below!

    Pretty in Pink

This past weekend I attended my dearest friend, sister, PIC, and fellow Houston Blogger Style the Girl‘s baby shower. I was so excited to share this moment with her and all her dear friends and family to honor her little girl Sofia Everly. It was everything you would imagine a little girl’s baby shower would be, filled with pink, lace, and all things shabby chic. As her Phi Mu sister we were excited to welcome the first legacy in our group of friends. All of our other sisters, including myself, had boys, and we ready to add a girl in the group.

Motherhood from Every Angle and My Mommy Uniform

    DSC05716

This past week I was featured in a series called “Motherhood From Every Angle,” from one of my fellow mommas and an amazing lifestyle blogger Beauty and the Binky. I loved being part of these series and being part of a great group of mothers who share their stories and experiences as a mom. Some times we can all be caught up in the right and wrongs of parenting that we realize there is no such thing as right and wrong. Ever child, every mom, every family is different, but there is one thing that stays the same and that is the love and pride they have for their child. Here is an excerpt of the introductory part of the interview:

    Good Vibes

    DSC04075
This past month I’ve been really busy lately launching my own photography business. Like the blogging world and anything new you venture out to, there’s always a learning curve and making mistakes is just part of the learning process. I’ve been lucky enough to have met some amazing people who have helped me grow and develop in the photography world. It’s not as easy as it looks and there is always so much to learn in photography. Having a great support system in this industry always helps you stay positives when you have your ups and downs.

    Rebel Gypsy

Sports Bra: Fox/ Rebel Gypsy tank: Billabong/ BKE Sport Reversible Active Tights/Reebok Sneakers (similar style)

Sometimes it takes a really cute outfit to motivate me to go the gym. I purchased this super cute outfit from the Buckle. The bralette is made by Fox, and I love the mesh neck detail. I love this soft tank from Billabong. It’s a great lightweight tank for the summer and such a steal for less than $25! But the best thing about this outfit is the reversible workout pants. I can actually wear these inside out as a pair of black capris. How cool is that!

Four months postpartum and I still have my hormone line going down the middle of my stomach. I have loose skin from my pregnancy, but it is getting better with the right diet and exercise. For more on my fitness journey to getting my body back better than ever follow my Facebook page.
