Intentional Living – Magnolia X Darling Weekend

Hey everyone,

Hope you are having a great week. Today I am sharing all the details of my weekend with the Magnolia Journal and Darling Magazine, and how I met my idol Joanna Gaines, but most importantly what I learned through sharing our thoughts about intentional living. If you haven’t gotten the latest Magnolia Journal, the main topic is about intentional living. I’m also going to show you a sneak peek look at their new restaurant Magnolia Table which we were fortunate to be the first to dine at with Joanna. I am still pinching myself at the thought of having dinner with my idol and being able to live my dream through this passion of mine. Thanks for everyone for all the support and joining me in this little space of mine. So today I am sharing what intentional living means to me, and our wonderful weekend with Magnolia Magnolia Journal and Darling Magazine.

Thankful for this babe right here, Alice from Lone Star Looking Glass, for inviting me on this wonderful weekend with her.

Enjoyed an exclusive after hours shopping experience at Magnolia Market. If anyone has been you know how busy it always is. It was nice to be able to take some cute shots of the interior store display. magnolia journal, darling magazine, intentional living, magnolia table, magnolia market, fixer upper, Joanna Gaines, Waco, Texas magnolia journal, darling magazine, intentional living, magnolia table, magnolia market, fixer upper, Joanna Gaines, Waco, Texas

Magnolia Table is their new restaurant that will open up in March. It is a brunch style restaurant open for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is beautiful and has the signature Joanne touch in every aspect of the restaurant. I can’t get over this sign. I love the how the restaurant embodies a family style theme. magnolia journal, darling magazine, intentional living, magnolia table, magnolia market, fixer upper, Joanna Gaines, Waco, Texas magnolia journal, darling magazine, intentional living, magnolia table, magnolia market, fixer upper, Joanna Gaines, Waco, Texas

Th prettiest spread at their new bar space. We got to go home with their coffee, and it was hubby approved! He loved it!magnolia journal, darling magazine, intentional living, magnolia table, magnolia market, fixer upper, Joanna Gaines, Waco, Texas magnolia journal, darling magazine, intentional living, magnolia table, magnolia market, fixer upper, Joanna Gaines, Waco, Texas magnolia journal, darling magazine, intentional living, magnolia table, magnolia market, fixer upper, Joanna Gaines, Waco, Texas

Ya’ll I can’t even begin to explain how much I was shaking in this picture. Joanna gains is my idol. I love everything about her. She started off blogging before she was discovered for Fixer Upper, and she now has developed her blog into its own magazine the Magnolia Journal. I love how she has grown her brand, how she works with her husband, and how she always puts God and her family first above everything. I was bugging my husband and Alice the whole time before the trip about the possibility of meeting Joanna, and the moment we walked into the restaurant there she was greeting and welcoming everyone. I was in shock. It was a dream come true, and she is every much as beautiful and kind in person. magnolia journal, darling magazine, intentional living, magnolia table, magnolia market, fixer upper, Joanna Gaines, Waco, Texas magnolia journal, darling magazine, intentional living, magnolia table, magnolia market, fixer upper, Joanna Gaines, Waco, Texas

After dinner the first night with Magnolia X Darling we were treated with a fun session on the Art of Letter Writing. You can also see that on the latest Magnolia Journal. We learned calligraphy and also how important it is to take the time to write a letter or a postcard instead of just writing an email or a text message. I love receiving written love notes from my husband, and have kept every single card he has given me. I know one day I can look back and share these memories with my children and future grandchildren.

The bathroom at Magnolia was beautiful. I’ve always been a big fan of every bathroom reveal on Fixer Upper and this was no exception.magnolia journal, darling magazine, intentional living, magnolia table, magnolia market, fixer upper, Joanna Gaines, free people blazer, Jeffrey Campbell wedges, Waco, Texas

We had a brunch hosted by Darling the following day which I will share more on another post and everything we learned about imagining your world. But here is a sneak peek of the beautiful brunch table setting. We stayed at the beautiful Hilton in Waco, and drove the new Lexus LX 570, which was the most luxurious ride for a road trip. Thank you Lexus and Hilton Waco for partnering up with us on this trip. magnolia journal, darling magazine, intentional living, magnolia table, magnolia market, fixer upper, Joanna Gaines, free people blazer, Jeffrey Campbell wedges , Lexus LX 570

I hope you enjoyed our weekend recap with Magnolia X Darling. So what is intentional living? To me it means having a purpose and a plan everyday. Sometimes as moms we can lose our purpose in the monotony of everyday life, but we have to remind ourselves being a mom is more than just the clothes we fold our the mouths we feed, we have a greater purpose with God in raising our children. Taking a moment everyday to remind ourselves of our purpose will help us find gratitude in our everyday life. Everyday I must have a plan and get myself in a mindset of staying positive and on track. It is so easy to get caught up on social media and all the negative things in this world, but if we live each day intentionally we can find the greater good in our everyday life. What does intentional living mean to you?
